I took my wife up to the volcano to stay at a very nice bed and breakfast Friday and Saturday. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Once a year the artists put on a show of Volcano art work. It was called a Art Walk. It was a really fun way to bring attention to the arts. Later I went to the Volcano National Park and photographed the huge steam vent.
Here are some of the pictures I took at the Volcano National Park.
Also we ran into Jason Scott Lee. We were driving from house to house at the art walk and I was about to park on the side of the road and he was just sitting there with three of his dogs on leash.
I decided not to park next to him because first I didn't know who he was and second I didn't want the dogs to scratch my car. Vicky said "Oh thats Jason Lee of The Jungle Book. I still didn't know who she was looking at. The street was full of people walking to art shows. Getting back into the car I shot a few pictures through the front window.
What fun for a sixty year old artist....LOL.
I found this link with him on youtube. I hope I don't get into trouble for putting his picture up.
